A great man.

Dear Parishioners of St. John Cantius,
I wish to inform all our parishioners and friends, that Father Burns Seeley, S.J.C. died earlier this evening at the Little Sisters of the Poor in St. Louis, MO. As many of you know, he suffered for quite some time. Fathers Jim, Brendan and Brothers Chad, Brian and Anselm were able to visit with him and his family over the past two days. Today before they left St. Louis, Father Jim and Brendan offered Mass and were able to bring Holy Communion to Fr. Seeley in his room. They then departed to return to Chicago. About an hour after they left, Father Seeley was called to his eternal reward. May he rest in peace.The Funeral Arrangements are as follows:

Burial: Private
