As expected, we were unsuccessful in our attempts today.
We spent a good while talking to the woman, but she was adamant about her decision.
She was fully aware that she was going to take a life (her own words).
She knew that it was a child, not a clump of lifeless cells.
Still, she went in.
This kind of person is nearly impossible to reach from a sidewalk, in a few minutes.
Aside from this current situation, this woman is in dire need of counseling. Her life is empty, and she is searching for something which she is not going to find in this world.
The emptiness that modern man experiences is many times due to his lack of the knowledge of the good God who created him. This cannot be solved through fancy cars, big houses, less or even more children.
Our hearts are restless until we rest in Him, and all the worldliness your life has to offer can't undo that fact.
We move through life at a frantic pace, trying this thing or that thing, buying more and more stuff. We look here and there for happiness, never realizing that true happiness and true peace is within our grasp, if only we will allow ourselves the luxury of God's friendship.
May this girl get the help she so desperately needs.
May her baby rest in God's arms.
